Effnetplattformen AB (publ): Effnet licenses its header compression technology to Inmarsat

Luleå, Sweden, 17 march 2016 -- Effnet AB, a subsidiary of Effnetplattformen AB and the premier provider of header compression software for wireless and fixed networks, today announced that it has licensed its header compression technology to Inmarsat, a pioneer and industry leader in global mobile satellite communications.

There is an increasing demand for voice and data services over satellite networks. The markets for such services - maritime, aviation, enterprise (including energy, media and M2M) and government (both civil and military) - are growing rapidly. In this scenario, it can be a challenge to meet the demands of a growing user base for more services on bandwidth constrained networks. Hence it is vital to utilize the available bandwidth efficiently.
